The Elephant Food Rescue Package buys a large truck filled with pineapple stalks for the elephants at Samui Elephant Sanctuary. Pineapple stalks are one of the staple foods included in the diets of our herds. Pineapple stalks provide a sustainable source of elephant food since the farmers on the island would normally discard them. They will be much appreciated by the rescued elephants at our sanctuary, providing an important source of fibre and nutrition.
