Cartoon was born in 1962 in Surin Province and spent much of her early adult life working in logging until the practice was banned in 1989. She was then put to work at a trekking camp, taking people on rides day after day until her rescue in 2018 when she came to live at our sanctuary.

When Cartoon first arrived at SES, she kept to herself but has since become close friends with Mae Kham Kaew, and the two spend all day together. She is now relishing her retirement and has developed a love for rice banana balls. Cartoon is easily scared by storms, especially when there is thunder and lightning.
