Jamie was born in 1970 in Tak Province and her life followed the predictable pattern of working in the logging industry until the practice was banned in 1989, followed by giving rides at trekking camps in Chiang Mai, until her rescue in 2020.
 
Jamie is now free from a gruelling life of arduous work and mistreatment and can finally rest for the remainder of her days at our sanctuary where she is much loved. She spends her days with her best friend, Bua Toom, and is very fond of bananas and coconut.
