Kham Paeng was born in 1965 and as a young adult was forced to work in the logging industry until the practice was banned in 1989. Following a common path, she was then put to work at trekking camps giving rides in Krabi and then Phuket, until her rescue in 2020. Kham Paeng has embraced her new life at our sanctuary where she is free to wander, play, and receive a good diet, including plenty of bananas - her favourite food.
