During this unprecedented time brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic, travel restrictions have caused a near total decline in tourism in Thailand and Samui Elephant Sanctuary has had to temporarily close. Elephant Food Package 1
Banana Health Balls
$7 USD | 200 Baht
The elephant food package 1 will buy the ingredients to make health balls for the elephants at our sanctuary. These balls are made using a variety of ingredients including a medicinal vine, sticky rice, rice husks, bananas, tamarind, and salt. The health balls aid the digestion of elephants and are especially appreciated by the older elephants.

Basket of Sugarcane
$10 USD | 300 Baht
The elephant food package 2 will buy several stalks of sugarcane (enough to fill a basket with cut pieces of sugarcane) for the rescued elephants at our sanctuary. Sugarcane is a sweet treat that the elephants love to eat.
Elephant Food Package 3
Basket of Bananas
$20 USD | 600 Baht
The elephant food package 3 will buy a basket filled with bananas (about 40 kg of bananas) for the rescued elephants at our sanctuary. Bananas are one of the elephants favourite foods and will be very much appreciated by our herds.
Elephant Food Package 4
Basket of Fruit & Vegetables
$25 USD | 800 Baht
The elephant food package 4 will buy a basket filled with a variety of fruit and vegetables (about 40-50 kg of produce) which may include bananas, watermelon, pineapple, mangoes, papaya, cucumber, corn, carrots and pumpkin for the elephants at our sanctuary. Elephants have huge appetites and enjoy eating a variety of fruit and vegetables.

Tub of Watermelons

The elephant food package 5 will buy a tub filled with watermelon (about 120 kg of watermelons) for the elephants. The elephants at our sanctuary love to eat many different kinds of fruit and sweet watermelon is one of their favourite foods.
Elephant Food Package 6
Pickup Truck of Grass
$65 USD | 2,000 Baht
The elephant food package 6 will buy a pickup truck filled with grass (about 1.5 tonnes) for the elephants. Elephants need to east vast qualities of food, between 150 - 250 kg of food per day. Major components of their diet include grasses, leaves, roots, tree bark, and leafy bushes such as bamboo.
Elephant Food Package 7
Pickup Truck of Cornstalks
$80 USD | 2,500 Baht
The elephant food package 7 will buy a pickup truck filled with cornstalks (about 1.5 tonnes) for the elephants. Elephants need to consume large qualities of food, between 150 - 250 kg of food per day. Cornstalks provide a sustainable source of elephant food because farmers would normally discard them after the corn ripens.

The elephant food package 8 will buy a pickup truck filled with bananas (about 1/2 tonne of bananas) for the elephants. Bananas are full of nutrition and are one of the elephants favourite foods. They will be much appreciated by the rescued herds at our sanctuary.
